I think Frankie Vaughan came to Box in maybe the 50's to open the new Boys Club in the Market Place, Tom Selwyn Smith clearly had a connection with this singer. One of the projects for the Queen's Silver Jubilee in 1977 was to renovate the new Jubilee Youth Centre. Many of us gathered there in the evenings with brushes and paints (Elizabeth Devon, Roger Eaton, John Wilson and others) We all had young children whom we left in our partners' care. We had so much fun and achieved a lot and nearly 40 years on we are still all good mates.
