World War 2 Series

We have reached the halfway point in our story of the Second World War. The years 1941-42 saw the threat of Nazi invasion of England. Box would have been a prime target being the location of the Central Ammunitions Depot.

The Bath Blitz of 1942 highlighted the danger  and a flood of homeless people came into the area. Villagers prepared for aerial attack. Fortunately it never happened.
