Box Tribute to its
Great War Soldiers
The village is paying its tribute to the 43 servicemen who lost their lives and over 300 who returned, many injured or mentally scarred by the war. Their names are listed below.
We have the story of the war as it affected people in Box and your tributes and details of the women who served as nurses, land girls, maintenance engineers or factory workers to support the war effort.
Do you have a family member who served in the war?
We are particularly looking for photos of the people.
