My first teaching post was with 36 children aged 7-8 at Box Highlands Primary School. I was there for 18 months in the years 1979-1980. It was a time which made a great impact on me and helped to determine my future life in teaching.
I was recently in the area and wondered what had happened to the school and some of the teachers I worked with. Does anyone know more about Nigel Allsop, who was the headteacher then, and Julie Morrish who worked alongside and helped me greatly? Or does anyone remember any school outings on the red bus the school purchased (see photo when we took 30 children to the Isle of Wight for a week in the summer of 1979)?
