There is an exciting new initiative available for you to enjoy. It's a free leaflet recording Box's Heritage Trail and the reasons why the village is included in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Next Year's Series
We have a major new series starting in the New Year about the Northey family, Lords of Box and Ashley. The family owned most of the area for over 200 years and  founded Box Cricket Club, Kingsdown Golf Course and Box Conservatives.

Over 12 months, the series covers their story of:
  • A Rolls-Royce pioneer, Wicked Billy's exploits and the bankrupt lord
  • Their homes and lives, entertaining and in the army
  • Why and when they sold their entire estate
  • The legacy they left us.

Thanks go to the family members who have given us unique access to the family's photo albums offering an insight into the most important family ever in the area.

Right: George Wilbraham Northey about 1900
