Many people have had flashbacks to their youth whilst reading our articles about the 1950s and 1960s. Hard to believe it is 50 years ago.

David Ibberson has sent an intriguing article about a popular Box person from the 1960s with stylish quiff and beehived wife.

Whoever can they be?

Middlehill Archaeology and Art

We have had a fascinating contribution from Jane Charlton of Middlehill. She recalls the history of her cottage which was once The Three Cups coaching inn on the old Bath-Shockerwick-London Road.

A
nd she tells how she created a marvellous mosaic of pottery shards dug from her garden with plenty of tips on how it can be done.

Jane said, I read of your website, Box People and Places, and wondered if you might be interested in my work which challenges notions of archaeology and art.

We were interested; and so will you be. You can read Jane’s full article called Middlehill Meals under the Blog heading.
