WW1 Box Memorial Wood

12/1/2015

Box Parish Council is considering establishing a Memorial Wood as part of the World War 1 commemorations. It is proposed to be on land adjacent to the Cemetery using trees from the Woodland Trust. Is there interest in the project and would parishioners wish to be involved? The estimated cost is £10 to plant and maintain each tree.

Names of those remembered, their units and details of where and when they died would be recorded in the Chapel. The Council estimate that a minimum of forty contributors would be needed to make the plan viable.

If you consider that you might be interested please complete the form below and return it to
Mrs Carey at the Council Offices by February 15th 2015.
