at Box Library
​Tuesday 1 October

Box Library is hosting a unique opportunity to hear about the quarry industry in Box and Corsham on 1st October 2019 from 10am to 12 noon. Peter Davis has kindly agreed to talk about his father's work as a stone mason who worked for the Bath and Portland Stone Firms. Peter will be showing his father's wonderful collection of slides and photographs of stone quarrymen and their work. It is hoped to display quarry artefacts and you are invited to bring your own relics and memories of this time now lost.
