Box School, 1927 Jane Browning December 2017
This is a photo of the Boys Box Schools. It was sent to my father, Walter Browning, on 21 Oct 1927, when he would have been
7 years old, by his sister Joyce, 2 years older. Walter was in hospital at the Wales Ward, Royal United Hospital, Bath.
I can't identify which boy he is on the photo. The RUH was then in Beau Street - it moved to its present site at Combe Park in 1932. I haven't been able to establish what the Wales Ward catered for.
Readers have given the name of two children: Alan Sheppard, is pictured third from the right second row from the front (making a funny face!). His brother Ted (Edwin Sheppard) is in the front row (sitting down) nine from the left (with a large white collar). They lived at 1-2 Chapel Lane at that time.

Can anyone identify any of the boys seen in the postcard please?
