Box Parish Council and Corsham Town Council have agreed a sensible settlement which was endorsed by Wiltshire on 12 July 2016. You can read the details of the agreement at Box Parish Council website and see a map of the changes. The main points of the agreement are:
1. Rudloe will be united in Box Parish as previously proposed following the open meeting in Springfield Centre last year
2. Chapel Plaister, and old Wadswick will remain in Box
3. The proposed Hannick Homes development and Rudloe No 2 site will remain with Box Parish
4. The MOD car park and Digital Corsham site and a small part of Wadswick Green will move to Corsham.

This is a great tribute to common sense and the community-spirit which exists in Box and Corsham. Hopefully we can now build on this agreement to make residents fully involved in their community.
It remains to be said that our thanks go to Pauline Lyons, Alan Clench, Margaret Carey and the whole of Box Parish Council for their hard work in the public meetings and behind the scenes on behalf of Box Parish, and also to Corsham Town Council and Wiltshire Council for the common-sense used to conclude these matters and to retain the historic allegiance which makes us proud to be part of Box and Corsham. And thank you also to all our readers who wrote to Wiltshire Council to give their views.
