Box School, 1927          Jane Browning               December 2017
Picture
This is a photo of the Boys Box Schools. It was sent to my father, Walter Browning, on 21 Oct 1927, when he would have been
7 years old, by his sister Joyce, 2 years older.  Walter was in hospital at the Wales Ward, Royal United Hospital, Bath.

I can't identify which boy he is on the photo. The RUH was then in Beau Street - it moved to its present site at Combe Park in 1932. I haven't been able to establish what the Wales Ward catered for.

The message on the front of the postcard reads:

Dear Walter,
We shall be glad when you are home again.
There are some presents waiting for you.
Wish I could come to see you.

Lots of love from Joyce  xxxxxxx
Picture
Can anyone identify any of the boys seen in the postcard please?
